First
Offender Program
The First
Offender Program is a six-hour program designed to meet
the needs of youth that are experiencing the first consequences
of drug or alcohol use. The program is designed for all
referrals between the ages of 12 and 19 who meet admission
criteria. At
least one parent or guardian is required to attend the
entire program with the youth. The program meets from 8:00
a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on two consecutive Saturdays.
Youth
Outpatient Program
The Youth Outpatient Program
is a 40-48 hour treatment program for youth with a diagnosis
of substance abuse or dependence who are experiencing problems
in their lives as the result of an addictive or high-risk
relationship with alcohol or other drugs. The program
is designed for all referrals between the ages of 12 and
19 who meet admission criteria. The YOP program is
designed to provide an intensive treatment environment
for youth to successfully address their cycle of dependence
or addiction to alcohol or other drugs.
Format: YOP includes
40–48 hours of individual, group and family sessions over
a period of approximately ten weeks. These sessions focus
on building problem solving, communication, and life enhancement
skills, as well as intensive drug education and refusal
skills.
In addition to the group
and individual sessions, clients are required to provide
negative urine drug screens and breathalyzers during the
program.
